PercentOf Provides Second Round of Support for Greenpeace Documentary Production

Second Round of Sponsorship to International Environmental Organization Greenpeace

Sponsorship Represented by Customers of PercentOf Sunglasses under the Name 'POY' (Proud Of You)

PercentOf announced on the 28th that they have provided a second round of support for the production of Greenpeace’s ocean protection documentary. This sponsorship is made in the name of 'POY' (Proud Of You), representing customers of PercentOf sunglasses. This follows their initial sponsorship on March 28.

The funds for this sponsorship were accumulated from 5% of the sales of the 'POS 02 - GN Jeongja Port Edition Sunglasses' and 1% of PercentOf’s total sales through the 'Growing 1%' initiative. Notably, during the 'PercentOf SUMMER SALE,' which runs until August 12, 10% of the sale proceeds will also be added to the sponsorship amount.

The sponsorship amount is disclosed on the PercentOf website and Instagram every three months.

Jeju diver Yoo Jeong, in a recent interview encouraging support for the Greenpeace documentary, mentioned, "We used to catch three bags of seaweed in Jeju every year, but now it's down to two or one. Although I haven’t been diving for as long as the elderly divers, I can’t confidently say, ‘The sea hasn’t changed.’ I notice that the seafood I catch keeps decreasing and coral bleaching is getting worse," highlighting changes in Jeju’s marine ecosystem.

Greenpeace plans to produce a documentary for the 30X30 initiative, which aims to designate 30% of the world’s oceans as protected areas by 2030 and demand immediate legal regulations.

PercentOf CEO Ban Jun stated, "I keep thinking about Yoo Jeong’s comment, ‘I want to end my life as a diver. But before I can decide to stop, it seems like the sea will retire me.’ This reminds us that now is the time for everyone to continuously pay attention to changes in the marine ecosystem."

Meanwhile, PercentOf’s signature model and popular product, the 'POS 02 - GN Jeongja Port Edition,' is made from 'NetSpa' material, which is converted from discarded fishing nets collected from Jeongja Port, Ulsan, and is noteworthy for not using dyes.

The sunglasses case, created in collaboration with 'REVATION,' is made from 100% paper mold material, making it easy to recycle and lightweight with a slim design, attracting significant attention.
